Penn State Summer Architecture Camp 2013
The Project
After my high school junior year, I attended a two week architecture and landscape architecture camp at Pennsylvania State University for students aspiring to become architects. The camp highlighted a model-making project in which students had to use two sheets of corrugated cardboard to create an abstract structure fitting the given rules and restrictions. I developed my project into a beach house, focusing on the grand-openness of the space, as well as the overwhelming presence of angled facades and surfaces. These angular and spatial themes are evident in my current projects.
